Greetings all,

I decided to share 3 compiled versions of my updaters. The Compact, Clash and LineUp Template.

They are fully functional but there is no Slider, no News Panel, no Server Status Check feature and
there is a © symbol that when clicked upon it directs you back to me (my youtube channel page).
This is just a precaution to avoid reselling.

Does it use direct file download or torrent p2p?

Direct file download from a hosting location (ftp) in compressed state
(in order the make the download time faster),
then automatically decompresses the files.

Recent MMO's implement p2p downloading, did you consider that and if yes, why decided on ftp?

p2p didn't even cross my mind.

Imagine using p2p protocol with a 5.5GB client, having 50 seeders with 50Kb/s upload speed
and 50 leechers downloading your server files because they want to play to the server.

It will take them forever to download the files. But in ftp protocol it depends on your hosting server's
capability.

That's why there are few seeding servers that retailer hosts, after some ppl downloaded it the speed will only go faster.

PS. WoT, TERA, Mail.ru and many more use this.

Well, it's a fail - P2P is good for torrents. Ppl who once download the patch, wont "seed" it anyway, and P2P is a pain in the ass when it comes to checking files and sharing updates.
